The Valley Transportation Authority (VTA) has opened procurement opportunities for the next phase of the BART Silicon Valley Extension (BSVII) project and is actively inviting prime contractors and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (DBEs) to join the effort.

The project, a large-scale infrastructure initiative in San Francisco’s Bay Area, plans to expand transit options and improve regional connectivity.

To promote participation, the VTA hosted an outreach event on Wednesday, December 11, from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m., at the VTA Auditorium (Building C) in San Jose.

The event, organized by the Office of Business Diversity Programs, provided an overview of the BSVII project and opportunities for collaboration. Interested participants were encouraged to register by December 6 to secure their spot.

The VTA is searching for firms with diverse expertise to support various aspects of the project. For the Program Management Services Request for Proposal (RFP), the agency is seeking professionals skilled in quality management, safety and security, engineering management, project controls, implementation management, and project delivery.

Moreover, firms specializing in planning and outreach are being recruited for a Proposed Planning and Outreach Support Services Contract.

Key focus areas include advancing the BSVII project, supporting the Small Business Program and community working groups, engaging with stakeholders, and improving construction-related communications and outreach.
