The City of Cincinnati is aiming to expand access to city contracts for minority and women-owned business enterprises (M/WBEs). To achieve this, the city is conducting a disparity study and holding community listening sessions to gather valuable insights from residents.

These disparity study sessions are your opportunity to share your experiences, both positive and negative, related to M/WBE participation in city contracts. Whether you're an M/WBE yourself or have interacted with them in the past, your perspective is crucial. The city hopes to use this information to develop programs that will create a more level playing field for M/WBEs when it comes to competing for city contracts.

They are looking for:

  • Your stories about being an MWBE or working with MWBEs
  • Ideas for programs to help MWBEs win city contracts

There are several community listening sessions where you can share your thoughts.  There are in-person and virtual options throughout July and August.

Here are some details:

Future Meetings:

  • July 25th at 6:00 PM (Virtual)
  • July 31st at 10:00 AM (City Hall)
  • August 15th at 3:00 PM (Price Hill Library)
  • August 28th at 10:00 AM (Virtual)

Feel free to register for in-person and virtual sessions.

As Cincinnati actively seeks your input on how to improve opportunities for MWBEs, you can attend a listening session (either virtually or in-person) and share your experiences and ideas to directly contribute to shaping a more equitable business landscape in the city.
