Maryland's Harford County has announced it will introduce a disparity study, exploring the county’s current contract awards and processes.
Executive Barry Glassman announced the study will focus specifically on disparities in awards made to minority- and women-owned businesses (M/WBEs). The goal is for the study to identify disparities in the county's contracting and introduce remedies to alleviate the inequalities.
The disparity study will focus on contracts awarded from 2017 through 2021. Executive Glassman says he is determined to work closely with local and small M/WBEs.
