Port Houston will be launching its new M/WBE Business Equity Program and Initiative. The initiative will create a new Business Equity Division reporting directly to Port Houston's Executive Director Roger Guenther.

One of the largest ports in the world, Port Houston is made up of a 50-mile complex of private and public facilities. It is a major location for container shipping for the gulf coast.

In addition to the formation of the new equity focused Division, a new M/WBE Development Policy was adopted in April of 2021, requiring a 30 perfect participation goal along with new outreach plans for M/WBEs. The Business Equity Division will serve as a common ground for the Port’s Small Business Program along with other M/WBE initiatives to gather.

Port-specific business development opportunities and events are particularly made available to the M/WBEs certified business. The M/WBEs listed in the Business Equity Program in its own directory.
