The top six states in terms of funding amounts in Fiscal Year 2022 are California ($294 million), Texas ($241 million), Florida ($240 million), New York ($136 million), Illinois ($123 million) and Georgia ($123 million.) All other states beneath the top six will receive less than $100 million dollars this fiscal year. A full breakdown is available on the FAA’s website.

Contractor News reviewed the complete list of allocations to each of the more than 3,000 airports for recipients getting more than $50 million.

These include Dallas Fort Worth International Airport, which is getting $63 million, and Denver International, which is getting $59 million. Los Angeles International will get $79 million, Hartsfield - Jackson Atlanta International Atlanta will get $92 million, Chicago O'Hare International will get $73 million, and John F Kennedy International will get $55 million.

“The Bipartisan Infrastructure Law has given us a once-in-a-generation opportunity to build safer and more sustainable airports that connect individuals to jobs and communities to the world. With this new funding, urban, regional and rural airports across the country now can get to work on projects that have waited for years, modernizing their infrastructure and building a better America,” Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg said.
